Arisaka Type 99 Original Rear Sight Base. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.
This piece is for a type A (Ramped) base
Type A (Ramped) accommodates a fold-out anti-aircraft sight wing slide.
Type B (Square) does not accommodate anti-aircraft wings.
Slow rust bluing is a slow, days long process to convert rust from ferrous oxide to black ferric oxide. This black oxide is a very corrosion resistant finish. This is not cold bluing, which is simply a surface coating. Rust bluing is a treatment that restores the the original blued finish.
