This is a candle clamp that appears to be a hidden lantern of the former Japanese army.There are a few handwritten notations in the alphabet, but based on the external characteristics, it looks very similar to the old Japanese army one, so we determined that it is a hidden Kento.The large cover on the front of the unit is marked "KANEKO.M. The cover contains red and green glass, which is often seen in military lamps, and was probably used for nighttime light control and communication.It seems to be used by opening the lid at the rear of the main body and putting a candle on the candle stand.By turning the candlestick from the bottom, it can be adjusted as the candle wears out.The legs of the main body can be folded upwards, so it can be used as a portable lamp.Size　Height of the lamp: about 52cmDiameter of the lens: about 17cmHeight when folded: approx. 42cm (may vary depending on the position of the candlestick)The paint is heavily peeling off overall, and in some places it seems to fall off when touched.Rust is visible.
