WW II Imperial Japanese Navy Aircraft - TYPE 4 SMALL GUNSIGHT - P1Y S1A - RARE!

Description

You are bidding on an EXTREMELY RARE example of a late-war WW2 Imperial Japanese Navy Type 4 Small Gunsight!  A PROTOTYPE design, this was specifically made for use with the Yokosuka P1Y "Francis" and Aichi S1A "Denko" Fighter Aircraft!
Made of aluminum and steel by Enomoto-Kogaku (Fuji-Syasin), the PROTOTYPE design dates around 1944/1945, this is a VERY NICE example!  Retains approx. 95% of it's original finish, with only slight marks and wear, due to the age.  The original clear glass remains, but it does have some chips.  Sadly, the dark sun shield glass is missing, as well as the origina light souce/plug.  All mechanical adjustments are 100% FUNCTIONAL, however, I have not tested it electrically.  Data plate seems to have been removed.  Also features a simplified fixed sight on the left, in-case sight was damaged electrically in combat.  Comes complete with the original mount.  In 25 years of collecting, this is the ONLY one I have ever seen!  Being a late-war prototype, I suspect it is the only one in existence, making it EXCEEDINGLY RARE!  Would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
