    The Museum was opened in Kaluga where Tsiolkovsky ("father of Cosmonautics") worked and lived for more than 40 years.
    Museum was opened on October 3, 1967, and became the first Space Exploration History museum in the world. It consists of two main halls with exposition showing the Origin and developing of the idea of space flignts; Tsiolkovsky's major works on cosmonautics; History of Rocketry & Space Exploration.
    The Museum
    also
    has exhibition hall, planetarium and three scientific departments. Museum annually (since 1966) organizes scientific conference - "Tsiolkovsky's Readings" on different aspects of space exploration & research.
