Translational Hand Controller RUP2M, configured for the Russian spacecraft Soyuz, to be left side mounted in the cabin with respect to the Commander's seat. The abbriviation RUP stands for Russian "movement control stick".
Controller in metal, rubber, and composite materials, with aluminum mount, totally about 25 cm (10 inches) length. It comes in original removable protective metal shell, painted with red color and the reminder in Russian "REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT".
The Soyuz translational controller is essentially a joystick to move the spacecraft up, down, left, right, backwards, and forwards in space. It's mounted onto the shock absorbing seat assembly (Kazbek) in the middle of the cockpit of the Soyuz spacecraft.
The controller unit itself was used across several generations of the Soyuz spacecraft, with the detachable mount changing between different Soyuz generations.
