    Vostok-3
was the third manned spacecraft in the Vostok series. It took part in the world's first group space flight - at the same time as Vostok-3, the
    Vostok-4
spaceship piloted by cosmonaut Pavel Popovich was also in space. During the flight radio communication was established between the ships and the Earth. For the first time, TV images of astronauts were transmitted to Earth. In flight, the astronauts disengaged themselves from the seats and swam freely in the cockpit in zero gravity. A new record of flight duration was set - 94 hours 22 minutes. The results of “Vostok-3” and “Vostok-4” joint flight showed the fundamental possibility of a manned flight to the Moon.
    Andriyan Nikolayev
(1929 - 2004) was the 3rd Soviet cosmonaut (5th in the world). Twice Hero of the Soviet Union. Major General of Aviation. The first astronaut who participated in a military experiment in space (together with P. R. Popovich). During his first flight (1962) Nikolaev unfastened the seat belts (before him Gagarin and Titov flew tightly fastened), freely soared in the ship in zero gravity.
    Pavel Popovich
(1930 - 2009) - the 4th Soviet cosmonaut. Twice Hero of the Soviet Union. Pilot of the Vostok-4 spacecraft; the commander of the Soyuz-14 spacecraft.
