Description

This uncirculated 5 Maldivian rufiyaa note is a polymer note that is dated 10 May 2017 and signed by Maldives Monetary Authority Governor Azeema Adam. It is a gray and red note that measures 150 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side contains an underprint with traditional drum designs, fish decorations, depictions of men playing football and a crowd. Its reverse side is vertically-oriented and features a seashell. Because the note is made of polymer, it does not have a security thread. However, it has a shadow image of the Maldives coat of arms and the denomination as its registration device.
