    Description

    The 1,000 Lebanese pound/livre banknote was part of the series of banknotes issued by the Banque du Liban from 1988 to 1993. It has blue, green, red, and orange colors and the signatures of Banque du Liban Governor Edmond Naim and First Vice-Governor Hussein Kanaan. Its obverse side features the topographical map of Lebanon. Its reverse side features the ruins of the Roman Temple of Jupiter in Baalbek, the Banque du Liban headquarters in Beirut, and a cedar tree. Security features include a solid segmented security thread and a cedar tree watermark. This uncirculated note measures 156 mm long and 67 mm wide.
