*****      SEVERAL YEARS AGO I BOUGHT A MILITARY REFERENCE LIBRARY WHICH INCLUDED A SELCETION OF RARE WW2 ERA JAPANESE WAR MOVIES. THESE ARE PROFESSIONAL TRANSFERS OF THE ORIGINAL FILMS BUT I DO NOT KNOW WHEN ,WHERE OR BY WHOM.THEY ARE ALL RARE TITLES NEVER RELEASED IN THE WEST. THEY WERE MADE FOR JAPANESE DOMESTIC SHOW. THESE INCLUDE COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION USING JAPANESE MILITARY EQUIPTMENT AND MANPOWER AND AUTHORIZED BY THE GOVERNMENT AND SOME GOVERNMENT MADE TITLES WHICH LEAN MORE TOWARD THE PROPAGANDA FIELD BUT STILL INCLUDE SOME RARE FILM OF JAPANESE TROOPS, WEAPONS AND BATTLE SCENES.SOME SCENES ARE OBVIOUSLY AND AMATURE IN NATURE BUT REAL BATTLE FILM IS ALSO USED.
ALL BLACK AND WHITE ON DVD WITH JAPANESE LABELS.
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND JAPANESE. I HAVE WATCHED EACH OF THESE AT LEAST TWICE. THEY ARE UNIQUE IN THEIR PERSPECTIVE AND IN THE LOOK AT REAL PERIOD UNIFORMS,WEAPONS,CUSTOMS AND MANNERS.
THE TRANSLATIONS OF THE TITLES WERE DONE BY LOCAL STUDENTS SO PLEASE ,JAPANESE SPEAKING FOLKS ,FORGIVE ANY ERRORS.DISCRIPTIONS ARE ACCURATE WITH AN EYE TOWARD THE INTERESTS OF MILITARY COLLECTORS.

SPENCER , SHARPS , HENRY , VOLCANIC, JENNINGS, REMINGTON, JOSLYN,WESSON,BALLARD,BACON,BLISS,WARNER AND SMITH AND WESSON ALL SOLD CRITTENDEN AND TIBBALS AMMUNITION UNDER THEIR OWN TRADE NAME. THE UNION ARMY BOUGHT MILLIONS OF CTM PERCUSSION CAPS AND HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF SPENCER CARTRIDGES DURING LINCOLN’S WAR AND ALL OF THE SPENCER AMMUNITION USED IS THE FIRST MAJOR BATTLES INCLUDING GETTYSBURGH WERE ALL MADE BY CRITTENDEN AND TIBBALS.
****Over the course of the next couple of years we will be offering for sale thousands of rare specimens of museum quality many of which have never been offered for sale before and which you will likely never see for sale again. Why are we selling this archive and reference collection? After 150+ years of interest in ammunition there is no one else interested in the field in our family. My personal collecting has spanned 50 years and I am at an age when it is time to stop and pass on such activities to others.
