This auction is for a type I stock and hand guard.  The type I was an Arisaka manufactured under contract in Italy for the Japanese military.  They had a carcano style bolt instead of the typical Arisaka bolt and were never made in very large quantities.  Some sources say a few were issued to the Navy and they may have been but it would certainly have complicated repair logistics to have such a different rifle issued in small quantities.  The rifles are not very common and parts are also pretty scarce.  If you have the iron or a modified rifle this stock will help you complete or restore your rifle.
